Feature
Trends
Trend Engine is Diorama's core analytics layer for turning raw signal history into trend-aware outputs. It powers signal views, chart surfaces, and parts of daily insight generation.
Why it matters
A single reading can be noisy. Trend computation shows direction and change over time, which gives each entry more context.
How Diorama uses this
Generate trend-oriented data for Insights charts, sparklines, and signal detail sections. Support daily insight workflows that rely on recent signal movement patterns. Power categorized signal browsing with computed trend context behind the scenes.
What you can do
Trend Engine is mostly invisible in the UI, but it is what allows Diorama to show meaningful movement over time instead of isolated entries.
When you open Insights and review trends, rolling patterns, or daily interpretation output, those experiences depend on this engine and related signal data services.
The current foundation is strong for core trend behavior, and it already supports many user-facing charts and daily signal workflows.
Notes and limitations
Some mathematically deeper features, especially formal multi-signal correlation scoring, remain on the roadmap and are not complete in the active path.
Reliability is good in current production usage, but broader dedicated engine-level tests are still a priority for long-term confidence.
Limitations
Some advanced multi-signal correlation paths are still placeholders. Dedicated TrendEngine test coverage remains incomplete in active suites. Not all advanced analytics roadmap concepts are fully shipped in end-to-end product surfaces yet.
