Feature
Spotlight Search
Diorama indexes its guidance and content into Spotlight so you can find it from the iPhone home screen search. Pull down on the home screen, type what you are looking for, and matching Diorama content surfaces alongside the rest of your system search results.
When Priya's knee started complaining mid-training-block, her instinct was to search her phone, not to remember which screen held the relevant guidance. Diorama's content showed up in that pull-down search, and she was reading about load management before the thought had fully formed. The app met her where she already looks for answers.
Why it matters
Knowledge only helps if you can reach it when the question shows up. Surfacing Diorama's content in system search means the guidance is one swipe away at the moment you actually need it, not buried behind navigation.
How Diorama uses this
Swipe down on the home screen and search for a topic to find related Diorama content. Tap a Spotlight result to jump straight into the relevant area of the app. Use system search as a shortcut into guidance instead of remembering where it lives in the app.
What you can do
Diorama's content library is registered with Spotlight through the app's indexing service. That means the explanatory content — the same material the in-app assistant and the website draw on — is searchable from the system level. When a question occurs to you, you can reach the answer without first opening the app and navigating to it.
Tapping a result takes you to the right place inside Diorama, turning a search into a direct route rather than a starting point.
Notes and limitations
The system, not the app, decides exactly when items are indexed and how they rank, so freshly added content can lag briefly. What Spotlight exposes is guidance and navigation — your underlying health data is not placed into system search.
The science
People reach for the search field they already use, not the one a single app provides. Lowering the distance between a question and its answer increases the odds the answer is actually consulted. Indexing into a system-level surface meets the user's existing behavior instead of asking them to learn a new path.
Limitations
Spotlight results reflect content Diorama has indexed; brand-new or device-specific items may take a moment to appear. Indexing is handled by the system, so result ranking is partly outside the app's control. Spotlight surfaces content and entry points, not your private health values.
Good guidance is wasted if it hides. Letting your content live where people already search is a small act of respect for their attention — the answer waiting at the place they would have looked anyway.
